Ann McCauley, of Boulder, will soon be releasing her second book, “Together or separate: Knitting the new twinset.”
Her first one, “The Pleasures of knitting: timeless feminine sweaters,” gave me great joy — and the desire to learn how to knit. That was 2005. Still haven’t done it.

Here’s from that old article:
“Back to glamorous geriatrics. Knit is it this summer, especially downplayed by jeans. (But then isn`t everything hot paired with jeans?) If you`re inspired by Martha Stewart`s release from behind bars, Boulder resident Ann McCauley recently published “The Pleasures of Knitting: Timeless Feminine Sweaters” ($18.45, Amazon.com).”

Her new book has the continued focus on smooth yarns, solid colors, and rich texture. She has also attempted to broaden the definition of what a twinset is.
In addition to cardigans and shells, there are skirts with sweaters, dress with wristlets, turtleneck with heavier gauge outerwear shawl collar vest, and more styles perfect as the weather cools down.

She has two book signing and trunk show events scheduled in Boulder:
Oct. 4, Saturday, 10 a.m.- 6 p.m. at Christina’s in the Water Street Plaza
Oct.8, Wednesday, 6:30-8 p.m. at Purl Knit Cafe in the Water Street Plaza.

Note: Look for a special story on the Purl Knit Cafe in the November issue of Women’s Magazine!
