Pretty much nothing feels less sexy than being pregnant. I know, I know:

“The two most beautiful things in the world are a ship under full sail and a pregnant woman.”
- Benjamin Franklin

Unless you are that pregnant woman, stuck on the couch, rolling around, grunting and vomiting in your mouth as you are trying to stand up.  Don’t get me wrong; I wouldn’t trade anything in the world for this little banana-sized human I have gut-punching me on a constant basis. But I would be full of it (and I’m not talking banana babies) if I said I feel hot. Ever. Unless I was talking about hot flashes.

That’s why I am happy to have discovered some fashion products that take pity on the bulbous woman.

1. Hot Milk Lingerie: www.hotmilklingerie.co.nz
I’m honestly queasy by the name (or maybe that is the acid reflux). But the maternity lingerie sure beats grannie panties and nursing bras.

I like the greater-coverage bra and the low-cut underwear. The deck of cards, however, seems a little boring without a martini.

2. www.maternity-clothing-fashions.com
Very unoriginal name for an online store. But … maternity clothes in leopard print? Perhaps I can feel like myself during this pregnancy, after all!

3. www.bellablumaternity.com

I dig this thermal. It’s trendy, but not an over-the-top/grandma-offending baby T (think: “Got Milk?”).

This site also has a skull skirt that is long enough to hide my extra pair of knees.

4. www.rockstarmoms.com
Yes. The name says it all. Where else can you find a maternity Run DMC tee?

rundmc_Frnt

Or my personal fave. Makes me laugh every time I see it.

Maybe there is hope to this whole pregnancy fashion thing after all. See my fashion column this Friday in the Daily Camera.
