I dream in French
I don’t actually speak French, but my dreams last night were in French. Or at least what my brain thought was French. All of my dreams were based in France, too (where I have actually visited).
A past life flashback? A subconscious hint? I’m not sure, but it has sent me hunting for French fashion, you know, to wear in the real world. Here are some inspirations.

Fashion photo of the week: Goldilips
Afraid that his new men’s fashion line looked completely ridiculous, American designer Thom Browne must have realized the way to redeem his stylish dignity and save the line was to ask all male models to wear glittery gold lipstick.

Fashion photo of the week: Under where?
Back when I was a tortured middle-schooler, it was hip to wear boxer shorts out into the public sphere.
We wore boxers to school. We paired them with baggy Esprit and B.U.M. Equipment tees. We also ratted up our bangs to look like spider-web-covered cinnamon rolls. Sometimes I put so much hairspray in my hair that it left a white snow, clinging to the spider web like arthropod egglettes.
Apparently, according to D&G — as recently unveiled at Milan Fashion Week — this style in en vogue once again. So now we can all walk around looking like we’re tortured middle-schoolers with no fashion sense.
Bonus points for wearing your boxers with a cheesy screen-printed shirt, made in only one hour at the Walgreens photo counter! (Necessary exclamation mark.) Super bonus points if you’re coked out enough to think it’s a reasonable request to wear said outfit on a runway.

Knotty girl meets the stud
Here are two shoe trends that I stand by:
1. Knotty girl.

www.shopbop.com, Geisha Sandals, $525.00
2. The stud.

www.shopbop.com - Giuseppe Zanotti for Balmain Stud Sandals, $836.50
And then there is the shoe I am not sure if I love or hate.

Shopbop calls this the Dsquared2 “hiking sandals,” $416.
Talk about a misleading name.
Imagine wearing these up Mt. Sanitas.

Fashion photo of the week: So much weirdness, so little time
Either I have been doing so many psychedelic drugs that I don’t even remember taking them, or this past week in fashion has been completely bizarre. I don’t even know where to start, or what is going on. Is this really happening, or am I lying on a bathroom floor in some techno club imagining I’m writing about this?
On the off chance that this is real, I’ll initiate a poll. Which of the following fashions is the weirdest?
1.

Is his hat really huge or is the baseball bat just really small? The spring/summer collection by Alaxandre Herchcovitc, as seen at the Sao Paulo Fashion Week in Sao Paulo on Monday.
2.

This Zebra/Dr. Seuss costume by Lino Villaventura, which debuted on Saturday.
3.

A dog miserably wearing traditional Filipino clothing during Fashionista Pooch, a dog fashion show, on Sunday.
4.

Another dog in the dog fashion show. A dog, wearing a cowboy hat, with a feather, and a flower. Which would be tacky on a human but is kind of cute on a dog.
5.

I didn't know Kid N' Play became a cross-dressing model. You know you're in trouble when square goggles are not the worst part of your ensemble. The Neon collection, presented Sunday in Sao Paulo.
6.

if Johnny Depp and Peewee Herman had a lovechild, which actually wouldn't be too far-fetched. And if that kid wore plastic surgical gloves. Thanks, Alexandre Herchcovitch, for this one.
